I renewed my Driver license today, it only took 20 minutes and they were all very nice to me. Now if the Cub win the world series, I know the world is going to end.

I still not completely recovered. but ACen did rock and broke the 10K mark. The Gundam panel had a great crowd even with The Pillows concert happening at the same time.I won my first AMV trophy for "The Gundam Experience". Working in the AMV room was fun and met allot of nice people and made few new friends. I look forward staff Anime Central again.
I have pictures soon, I misplaced my Memory card reader. :p

Do you ever say something so many times that it become part of the status quo?
(Warning: incoming rant)
I had second stage weight loss surgery in last February, now there are certain things I can't eat. After the first stage surgery I wasn't allowed soda. Life without soda was rough, but I got used to it. Now after the second stage I have to stay away from certain types of foods. I have to stay away from deep fried foods and sweets. It not that if I eat them it will kill me, It just my system has a hard time digesting them properly. I don’t want to get into details, let just say it’s not a good thing. I explain this to my parents; my dad knows this and asks what I can handle when he cooks. However, my mother is a different story. She tends to forget everything I say to her. I tell her “Please Ma, Buy some 2% milk” She will buy it that day, However when she goes back to the store the next week; She goes back to buying whole milk. Tell her the reasons why I can’t drink whole milk, she keeps doing it.
Now Tuesday morning, she makes breakfast. It’s scrambled eggs, with fried potatoes and fried spam. I know I not supposed to eat it, But I am weak. So I ate it, and paid for it later that day. I tell her never to give me spam again, that I can’t handle fried foods anymore. She agreed with me (Like the few hundred times before). Now skip to dinner, she was making Rice and pork chops. I have no problems with rice, but I need protein. Pork is good protein; it will help me get to my 75 gram a day requirement. However, my mother decided to too DEEP FRY TO PORK CHOPS. I don’t mean she pan fried them, she cook them in 3 inches of corn oil. In my head I was like WHAT THE FUCK!!! I just explained like hour earlier that I am not eating this crap, and now you decided of all the cooking options in the world, you chose this one. Of course all I said was “I can not eat that and you know why” and left to that store I bought food for myself. Using her credit card of course. ;-P
I know I could have just eat the rice, But I need my protein.

The last time I built and painted a model was in October before Reactor. Since then I been letting my unbuilt models collect dust. I still have unbuilt models from ACen 2003 and a Perfect grade GP01 that I am wish I had time for. I was hoping to build it for ACen Gundam Experince, but If I rush build a model it will only have bad results. Plus wasting 190 dollars dosen't feel all that nice. So I started on a kit I bought at ACen '04, 1/100 Gundam Astray Red frame. Man, it is a nice kit Bandai model continues to impress me. They did a great on hiding most of the seam lines, which means less gluing and sanding for me. The design of the suit itself is a breath of freash air. It evens come with a Katana, How sweet is that. People who don't even build model should pick this up. Of all the Seed 1/100 kits I built this one is the best. If they ever make this into a Master grade, I will just die. Junichi Akutsu is now on my list of great mecha desiners Too bad Kunio Okawara changes up Junichi Akutsu design for the five starting Gundams in Seed. Okawara just needs to retire.

Just mess with the LJ's options before I hit my bed. I was fooling with the City of heroes test server the other day. I decided to try to make a Aoi sister(ACen Moscot) in the process found a funny bug.

What a busy time this is for me. I have ACen around corner,Planning panels, Working on music videos, plannig for Reactor, My Mother Birthday,and dealing with wieght loss. April been active. I am now in charge the music video contest at Reactor this year, I am starting to get a few idea on how I want it to go. But I will wait till after Acen to start the heavy planning.With the City of Heroes Panel and Gundam Experince to worry about. I have enough to keep me busy.

| Doom 3 Demo |

I was thinking of buying this game, (I am very susceptible to hype) but I was afraid to spend 50 dollars to find out it runs like crap on my computer. I have a 2.4 Intel P4 with 768 ram which id good. However, my video card leaves much to be desired. It is a geforce4 MX 64 mb card. It worth 34 dollars and it barely meets the requirement to play doom 3. I can’t spend 50 dollars on am maybe, I recently upgraded my memory from 256 to 768 so I can play City Of heroes (Bad Lagging). I got a good deal from www.newegg.com $76 bucks (Beats the $229 that Best buy wanted) and the game run much better now with more ram. I was afraid that Doom 3 would have that same issues that city of heroes had before the pre-upgrade.
Then I found the demo. It is a huge file 472 MB wow. (I have Broad band and took an hour and a half to download) It installed quickly, no restart or anything. The game starts with an FMV setting up the plot (Why we on Mars stuff like that). Then the in-game movie starts with bad frame rate. I let this go because there was a lot things on screen at the time using a lot of effects. The demo auto detects my system and automatically setting the game to the lowest video settings. Even on the lowest setting the game looks great and has a solid frame rate. The controls are standard FPS. You will receive stuff that will be very useful, a flashlight (more on this later) and a PDA (palm pilot)which you use to store and view our password, emails, and videos get during the game. After a long talk session and gopher (go for this and that) mission (takes up half the demo) all hell breaks loose, literally. They open a door to hell a spirits and demons come out. The spirits start to possess most of the miners, scientist, and marines. Making them vicious killers, And the demons come out of the shadows. This now becomes the scariest and creepiest game I have ever played! (I played silent hill). The lighting system is awesome. Lights will go out in a room and all you have is a flash light to see. The sound becomes a 3D experience in it self, I have a 5.1 sound card and you hear screams of people dieing and voices strait out of the exorcist come out of no where just to freak you out. You will armed with a hand gun but is weak. You will latter get a shot gun (Your best friend) and a machine gun. I found no weak spots on the zombies, I shot one head off and it still came after me. Dead bodies will come to life sometimes and demon will come out of the shadows and shoot fire balls at you. I felt that your gun fire dose not really pack much of a “visual” punch. (I feel the enemies should react more to being hit) The A.I. is pretty good. Some of the enemies will dodge your fire. Overall, this game I will get. At least after I buy a new graphic card, because if my cheap little 32 dollar card looks that good, imagine a 200 dollar one. The demo is free; do not have to sigh up for any thing. Check it out.

This is a first for me so... I will start saying why I join this thing. I have friends who are part of this community and I read there post from time too time. I decided it was time to start my own. I have to get into the habit of writing more and need to get a more constructive way to help alleviate some tension in my life.
Rant
This is where I will talk about crap that is on my mind.
Anime Reactor
I love helping out people and love anime conventions. By staffing I combine the two, which is great. It is a lot of work but I had a great time at Anime Central. Now I am staffing Anime Reactor. And now I am a live programming assistant (It is like middle management) Right now it is my job to help find panels to fill the spots. Here is the thing; other cons give complementary pass to those who choose to run a panel. It is not that easy to find people willing to get in front of a room full of people a talk about anime stuff for an hour. Even with the free pass. The problem is with Reactor, there not giving free passes. This made my job twice as hard. You try to tell someone, “Yeah please help us out by doing a panel on Sailor Moon, Oh by the way you have to by 25 dollars to come to our convention to do the panel” Sometimes I feel like I am the only sane person in a insane world. It dose not cost Reactor a dime to give a free pass, 50 cents for the badge maybe that’s it. There thinking of giving free t-shirts to those who run a panel.
Things will work out; I just gets on my nerves
